It was great to see how the GB Texas Students are commited. We had a good number of students showing up to class even with all the inconvenients that the Webster area still shows.

We even had several inquiries regarding our programs and that is great because shows that our work is here to stay and that life is coming back to it's normal path.

In recognition to the students that could not come to class due to Ike's consequences, we did not foward  and follow the normal curriculum this week but had lots of drills, revision and live traning. The ones who came loved it!

Well, we look foward to seing you all at the school again as soon as possible. Also remember that if there is something we can do to help you or the community, let us know.

Dear students,

We are very sad about the hurricane Ike and it's damage. We wish that all of you are safe and in good health.

Our school has lights and AC going and our classes will run normally.

Claudio and Luiz will be at the school tomorow, the 15th. If you want to train and release a little the stress, feel free to show up in the class times.

Me, my family, Roger, Greg and Marylou ( Roger's wife) are fine here in East Texas. We will be arriving in town Tuesday morning, when the conditions of the roads to Houston will probably be fine and life will go on normally again.

We are looking foward  to seeing you all soon.

We have received some advice from the Authorities that staying in the area of our ZIP CODE would be dangeours.

Our main concern will always be the safety of all so we encourage you to be safe and hopefully, train gets back on trak as soon as possible.

The world's leading Jiu-Jitsu magazine, Gracie Magazine, has a great article about the NOGI worlds 2008 under the vision of our Professor.

It is a History with lots of insights, strong opinions, great pictures and even some upsets. Also, some of our team mates are pictured in the article and Gracie Barra Texas is mentioned.

We ran out of magazines in 2 days. If you want to order your piece, just let Luiz, Monica or Professor Draculino know and we can order for you.

The magazine also brings a great techincal session with half guard master, Roberto Gordo Correa, teaching great moves and set ups in order to put your game on the next level.

If you really want to have acess to a true BJJ magazine, made by a staff that is in the business in Brazil for almost 20 years, there is no other option.

Stay tunned also for news on the Hurricane Gustav. The plan is to open and operate normally after September 2nd but safety is our first concern and we are only oppening if conditions are safe to do so.
