It was just a matter of time....Gracie Barra gets the belt back, winning the overall teams titles at the 2009 Pan ams. It was the biggest Pan Ams ever, with over 2500 competitors!

Professor Draculino's students from Gracie Barra BH did great!

Romulo Barral conquered the Medium Heavy Weight on the Black Belt and came in 3rd at the absolute black Belt. Augusto Tio Chico got the 3rd place at the Medium weight Black Belt showing a great performance.

THiago Silva came in 3rd at the Brown Belt light feather weight.

Professor Chad Robo, from GB the Woodlands came in 3rd in the light feather weight Black Belt Masters and his students also did a great job.

Fight to win: this will be the next BJJ tournament in Austin, Texas, April 11th. The school will be organizing cars to go and if you are interested in competing, please sign the sheet available at the front desk of the proshop or at the Men's dressing room. There will be prize money for that competition.

After spending the last 2 weeks in Brazil, Professor Draculino is back to Houston. Be ready for lots of new techniques straight from the Jiu-Jitsu land.

Professor Sergio" Serginho" Rodrigo came with Professor Draculino and will stay in town for 1 month. Sergio is a multiple times Brazilian National Champion and one of the instructors of Gracie Barra BH school in Brazil. Serginho has notable wins in BJJ against Mike Fowler, Michel Langi, Carlos Chalita, Christian Uflaker and more. He is known to have an almost impossible guard to pass! And he is only 160 lbs.

Our Professor Vinicius Draculino is currently in Brazil teaching at his main school in Brazil, Gracie Barra BH. Draculino said that training is going great and that he is amazed with the amount of new techniques that his Black Belts are developing. Also, he stated that his last class had 23 Black Belts on the mat! Stay tuned for the new techniques that our Professor will bring to GB Texas.

Spring break is a great time to relax and have fun. Try to get this extra time to train hard with us at GB TX.  The classes will be running with normal schedule and our very own Professor Marcelo will be teaching all the classes.
