Hello Students and Parents!

Gracie Barra Texas will be closing February 11th and 12th (Saturday and Sunday) for the IBJJF Houston Open Tournament.  Classes will resume normally on Monday, February 13th.

Please come out and show your support for your teammates at the Houston Open!

Dear Students and Parents.

As our dear students and parents know, we are always trying to give the best services and classes that we can offer. Being said, we are happy to announce the adding of the TEENS PROGRAM and the re-organization of our Little Champions 1, Little Champions 2 and Juniors Classes. 

The criteria to divide this classes was based on the age and the graduation of our students, but we also took in consideration other aspects such as maturity, behavior, and discipline. The change was made to offer our students better and less crowded classes, with less disparity of ages. Where they can optimize their learning process and get all the benefits that the training of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can offer. The Professors took a great care on the selection of each students to each program, always thinking on the best interests of each Child, as they have close and constant contact with our champions.

The TEENS classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

The Saturday classes will also change. We will keep the great Kids and Parents class for the Little Champions 1 and 2 and respective parents only from 9:30 to 10:15, and a competition live training session for Juniors and Teens only from 10:15 am to 11:00 am.

With the addition of the new classes, the students who want to keep attending some of the adults classes or participating on the non BJJ programs, will have to speak with one of our staff members to make an adjustment or an upgrade on their membership program. Without that upgrade, the teens or juniors won’t be able to attend any of the adults classes.

The names of our current students and their respective class time and program will be placed on our news board on the wall at the school,and also will be available on our website ( www.graciebarratx.com ) and Facebook page. If any student experiences conflicts with the current change of schedule, please contact our staff and we will try our best to accommodate each individual case.

===Important Weigh-In Information=========

Before his/her first fight, the athlete will check his/her weight with the Gi. There is only one opportunity to check the weight. If the competitor does not make his/her weight,they will be immediately disqualified. Please make sure that you are in the correct weight division. You can not change divisions ,if you do not make your designated division. No changes will be accepted in the tournament day, no refund.

All athletes should fight and weigh-in with tradicional weave fabric gi only (single, double or golden). All blue, all white or all black. No other kind of gi is allowed.
